Who We Are
Growing Older Living Digitally, Inc. (“GOLD,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a North Carolina 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (EIN 33-4288731). We're committed to protecting the privacy of older adults, partners, donors, volunteers, and anyone who interacts with us or our website.
Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly to us, including:
- Contact information: Name, email address, phone number, and organization when you fill out our contact form or sign up for email alerts
- Donation information: Information necessary to process your donation (handled through our donation platform partner, Fundraise Up)
- Workshop registrations: When you RSVP for a workshop, we collect your name, email address, and optionally your phone number. We use this information to send you a confirmation, a reminder 24 hours before the workshop, a reminder 1 hour before, and (if you opt in) email alerts about future GOLD workshops and important updates. You can request deletion of your registration data at any time by emailing hello@live-gold.org.
- Email alert subscribers: If you sign up for email alerts on our website, we collect your name and email address. We use this only to send you occasional updates from GOLD. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- Communications: Any information you share with us through emails, messages, or in person
We also collect technical information automatically when you visit our website, including IP address (which we hash before logging for privacy), browser type, pages visited, and time spent on the site. Cloudflare Turnstile, the spam protection on our forms, also collects browser and device signals to verify human visitors.
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors find and use the site, which pages get read, where traffic comes from, and what we should improve. Google Analytics 4 anonymizes IP addresses by default, and we do not use it for advertising or for profiling individual visitors. You can opt out at any time by installing Google's opt-out browser add-on, by enabling “Do Not Track” in your browser, or by blocking cookies from google-analytics.com in your browser settings.
